1. Vacuum is maintained in the system at all times. Before use, the water level in the bowl can be raised by simply lifting the flush lever. 2. When the toilet is flushed by pushing down on the foot lever, the vacuum energy stored in the system is released. The bowl is instantly cleared and the waste is moved through the vacuum pump at 7 feet (2.1 meters) per second. The change in pressure in the vacuum tank causes the integral pressure switch to activate the vacuum pump. 3. After the flush lever is released, the vacuum pump continues to run until the vacuum level is recharged in the system. Recharging the vacuum takes about one minute.

	Vacuum Holding Tank (VHT) Installation Ideal for trailerable sailboats or powerboats up to 26 feet (8 meters) or shallow draft, high performance boats. The VHT system combines the vacuum pump, vacuum tank and holding tank into one unit, saving space and simplifying installation. It is available only in a 12-volt model.
	Vacuum Generator Installation Ideal for sailboats or powerboats with one, two or three heads. One toilet only per vacuum generator. The vacuum generator combines the vacuum tank and pump into one easy-to-install unit.
	Vacuum Tank / Vacuum Pump Installation Ideal for powerboats or sailboats where space is available for individual components. Each toilet requires one vacuum tank and one S-series vacuum pump.
	Multiple Toilet Installation Ideal for larger vessels with three or more toilets or for heavy use vessels such as those used for charter service or rentals. One M-Series pump can handle up to eight toilets. The M-Series pump recharges the vacuum about five times faster than the S-series pump. Each toilet must have an independent vacuum tank and check valve. Can be installed with dual pumps to assure total back-up.
